Thriving in Mentor-Leader contrasting moments


How do you like executing your mentor self? I like being a mentor in a subtle way. But sometimes it’s very specifically out there. And in many situations, there is a specific formal mentoring structure—whether it’s internal, through a mentoring organization, or a business of mentoring.

That first one—internal mentoring—can prove to be sticky at times. Which string to pull, and which arm to use– the leader, or the mentor? For the most part they are simultaneous and ebb and flow. But when leaders find themselves in an head-scratching position, there can be simple strategic reminders to make it work for everyone.
