Spectrum of People Developers
There are so many different forms a mentor may take. Though a label doesn’t really matter, sometimes in trying to define oneself it clarifies purpose. In this case, to move people.
Here we address a spectrum of People Developers, from trainer to mentor. We mean them as a designation, not a job title, bestowed over and above.
The big picture is that it really does not matter—they are ALL developers of people, and that’s the main goal we have to work together toward in common. But just like an engineer, a nozzleman, and an officer are all firefighters, their distinctions are absolutely important for them to most effectively approach their role.
